Parking

Park in the free public car parks at Llangoed or Lleiniog beach.

Note that both car parks have height restriction barriers of 6’11” (2.1m) and 6’7” (2m) respectively.

The walking distance to the castle from both car parks is about the same, and is approximately 0.75 miles (1.2km).

To get to Llangoed car park:

From Beaumaris, take the B5109 for about 2.5 miles (4km) until you reach Llangoed.  Continue through the village, passing a Post Office on your left.  Carry on down the hill.  The car park is on your right, at the bottom of the hill (Grid reference SH611796).

To get to Lleiniog beach car park:

Follow the B5109 for about 2 miles (3km) and turn right for Penmon.  Pass a property on your left called Tros yr Afon.  Continue for about 0.5 miles (0.75km) and the car park is on the right hand side (Grid reference SH621791).

Cycling

The car park at Lleiniog beach lies on the route of the Telor rural cycling tour.

Travelling by Bus

There is a bus stop at Llangoed car park, and another close to Lleiniog beach car park at Grid reference SH622797.

Arriva Cymru services 53/57/58 go from Bangor to Llangoed and Penmon.

Public Conveniences

The castle has no toilet facilities.

The nearest public conveniences are located at Beaumaris, at Grid reference SH606763, approximately 55 yards (50m) from the entrance of Beaumaris Castle, near the library.
